Living From The Inside- Out Why Authentic doesn’t always look pretty
What does it really mean to live an Authentic Life? A Life aligned with your Soul’s passion, listening to the tuning of your body and your gut sense at every move telling you whether your decision is for your highest path or not. Have you ever had that sneaking suspicion that those around you and particularly sometimes those closest to seem to be dead set on misunderstanding you? You feel like you are constantly dodging the projections of others and your out of the box thinking is constantly challenging the status quo, then My Friend it sounds like you might be just on track for living life in your highest alignment. You werent born to fit in, you were born to help change the Game.
More and more we are seeing the evolution of the Planet and the changes in structures that have upheld Societal norms and status quo. Living from the outside in , a life of perspective making and seeming to the neighbours like everything is Rosey in the Garden has long been a way that we have measured our success n Life. But more and more as Time goes on we are seeing the breakdown of relationships and increase in depression and anxiety and we have to ask why. Is a life of putting on your finest dress to meet the locals at Mass and talk pretty really serving anyone at heart anymore?
More and more we are witnessing a Society that is disconnected from themselves , their bodies and eachother. What would it really look like to run an embodied Household where emotional regulation was the real key of success and inherent wealth? This is where a Life of Autheniticity plays its implicit role in the building of a new kind of Society and one that will nurture the kind of Future Leadership that will be needed in our Little uns and the generations to come.
I recently had the experience of someone projecting their thoughts onto me that they believed I hung around in bed all day minding My House. The comment was said in a deflective way and I sensed the true meaning behind it. I had disclosed a week or two earlier that I had a delicate nervous system that sometimes required a lot of rest and this was misinterpreted obviously in a way that was unintended. Its amazing how the thoughts of others can potentially impact your sense of self but that is only if you let them. To that person My way of Life seemed to be misunderstood. To me balancing my nervous system is the only currency I really have, as it it holds my capacity to do everything in Life. Resting in my World is an investment to my Health, my life and indeed My productivity. I have no desire to come off looking busy, busy after all is a state of mind. It means very little. What I get done gets done in flow and from a place of True Creativity. When I can’t sleep I know that is my calling to listen to the whispers of my Soul calling me to create something which I have been surpressing or denying in fear of admitting my own Greatness. Admitting this is part of me living from the inside out. I worry not what people think of me. Indeed that is their own lovely business.
A life of Authenicty isnt necessarily easy. It involves calling yourself into account when you are truly not taking responsibility for the things you should be. What are you denying in yourself? How are you hiding your Gifts from the World? How are you making excuses for the things you should be doing that really you have been shuvving down and instead complaining that you “ used to be” something or other, instead focussing on the the distractions? It involves stepping back from the crowd to listen to the whisperings of your own soul, to tend to the garden of your own uniqueness in the face of Familial or friendship pressure. Its not easy constantly dodging the mob and the policitcs of Life. But if we really want to admit to ourselves what allows for a sane Society, a Society free from addictive behaviours using alcohol or other substances to numb the stress of the noise in private but looking pretty in public, the answer lies in tapping into the madness of your own uniqueness, it lies in embracing the Authentic messy self that knows it is here to do and be something different. It lies not in the fitting in but in having the bravery to be yourself and do that thing that makes you happy, Authentic and Free.
